Christmas is Past. It’s Time to Sell Our House. Can I Sell My Own House?
I would save thousands of dollars in commission.
Your current house way too small, but you are not sure you can afford a new one?
We had to step sideways around the Christmas tree this year.
Having no room for a table, we all ate Christmas dinner on the floor in front of the TV.
But it looks as though the times they are a-changin.
There is a lot of pent-up demand for housing today. Some people may have missed the high price-point in the housing market in the last two years, so they just decided it best to stay where they were.
Many builders have slowed down or stopped in the present economic climate, but there are the same number of people moving into your town. In Nashville, TN, where I am based, we are getting one hundred people moving in each DAY. If builders do happen to have any inventory left, it’s not enough.
Interest rates have dropped some, so maybe that helps you buy a new house. Because, when you sell your house, you have to move somewhere.
We can still realize maximum profit on our houses. We have all been happy as the value of our current homes went up greatly in the last couple of years.
Still some chaos.
There is still some chaos in the real estate industry right now, which may increase your chance of selling to a buyer with no agent. Many agents have left the industry over the winter. Many buyers still do not want to sign an agreement with a buyer agent, as they must right now, so chances are better no buyer’s agent will be involved, even though you don’t legally have to pay them commission at all.
Don’t pay a listing agent by selling your own house, For-Sale-By-Owner, with a flat fee MLS entry-only listing. You’ll save thousands of dollars. I have done this for forty years. I’m at mlsDon.com.
